i finally know what it feels like

So, I had my first time being a super-huge-fan of a band. It started with me, iput, and ibeth watching the Java Soulnation which was held last week, not really knowing who were the performer of the night. Well, I knew there would be Sophie Ellis Bextor, Depapepe, and Valerius and I know some of their songs.

Sophie Ellis Bextor was good, Depapepe was...kinda boring, but surprisingly Valerius was..........superb! I barely knew this band, I knew 2 of their songs that play frequently on the radio and I had downloaded 2 other song, I knew this is the band I tried to google but there were no result. But still I have no idea their performance really caught my heart.

So after watching their first performance, we instantly got crazy of them and decided to watch them again on the next day at Erasmus Huis (they're from Amsterdam, that's why they performed in Erasmus Huis).

Their performance on Erasmus Huis was unforgettable. I got my CD signed by all Valerius members. I took a photo with Jesse, Jelte, and Kay. And I was hugged by Jelte.

Later on, we had a like 5 days of post-concert syndrome. We sang Valerius's songs all over again, never get bored. We stalked their twitter account just to know where they were and what were they doing. We tuned on the radio on their radio show. Got their songs stuck in my head like every time. Set their concert photo as my wallpaper, and et cetera.

I finally know what it feels like to be a huge fan. I have never thought I would be like this, yea but this is me now, fighting myself not to fall deeper into this "groupies-thingy". I know why people do weird things just to see-hear-meet their idols.

Well, thanks to Valerius for letting me know what it feels like to be ordinary, having the feelings everybody else have, for giving me the coolest concert I have watched, for meeting a brand-new not so popular band but unbelievably great just like them.

Picture timeee!

this is them for the photoshoot of Hai Magazine. left to right: Jelte Tuinsra, Xander Vriensten, Kay Nambiar, Jesse Nambiar, Georgy Patrick

my favorite photo of my favorite person: Jelte at the Erasmus Huis

the moment Jesse sang the line "In your head you're begging for my love" on the song She Doesn't Know

this is me with Jelte at Erasmus Huis

and this is me again with Jesse (I'm pretty sure you all know Jesse is the one on the left, not the right)

So yeah! We got their set list, all signed. we really have to be proud on this one :))

and... got my CD signed by all of them!

See you later, V. You rocked my days! I'm waiting for your next concert in Indonesia :)
